Hackers are history

As most of you out there are aware, over the past couple of months the Bone Fish system and service has been subjected to a significant increase in hacker attacks. This resulted in action being taken and involved the Bone Fish Admin Centre being temporarily suspended. Ultimately, this allowed the technical team to implement new and highly efficient security measures, as well as a new Cisco Firewall Module.

Throughout this period we`ve unfortunately been unable to determine whether these attacks have been directed at our actual organisation or whether they`re part of a bigger internet conspiracy to disrupt businesses in the western world. Because these attacks range from a few hundred per hour to a staggering average daily-peak of 250,000!

However, we ask you not to worry -the measures taken at the end of last month were designed to ensure that our system efficiently filters specific attacks and therefore lessens the blow to our service as a whole. Of course, only time will tell, but at the very least, this - coupled with the extreme tightening of security measures - should signify a less volatile existence of the Admin Centre, not to mention a relatively improved speed of service and less downtime too.

We`ll see! In the meantime all we ask is that you bear with us. Because without a doubt, we will always endeavour to cause the minimum-disruptions possible to the service regardless of the type of problem at hand! And remember,if you are experiencing any issue relating to this matter (orare coming up against any other obstaclethat you feel we should be aware of), then please get in contact with us straight away.

We thank you for your patience and would like toremind you that the Bone Fish team is always here to help.

You know where to find us!

Kind regards,

The Bone Fish Affiliate Team

The Bone Fish Guide to Online Marketing

Part Five: Bone Fish`s Top Ten Favourite PPC Search Engines

Over the past couple of months we`ve given you a valuable insight into how to set up and execute a profitable Pay Per Click marketing campaign. However, this is all very well if you knowwhere you want to advertise, but it`s perhaps not so simple if you`re just starting out.

There are quite literally hundreds of Pay Per Click search engines out there, and as this number grows, it`s even harder for those that are not well-grounded inonline marketing todetermine which ones areworthworking with.As such, and to help those that are new to online world, starting this week we`re going tobe looking at Bone Fish`s preferredPay Per Click search engines.

We`ve managed to cut our long list down to our 10 favourites - favourites which arebased on our own experience and feedback from our affiliates - so as from next week and forten consecutive weeks after, were going to take a look into each of the ten and see why they`ve made it on to our favourites list.In the meantime, feel free to have a look yourselves - because each and every advertiser has their own opinion and what may work for one, may not always work for another.

Top Ten Favourite Search Engines

1. Google AdwordsThe biggest and best for volume, quality traffic and usability, AdWords offers PPC advertising and site-targeted advertising for both text and banner ads. However, the upside is that it`s the most expensivesearch engine out there.

2. Yahoo! Search Marketing First it was known as GoTo.com, then Overture... andnow Yahoo! Search Marketing - this engine offers bothhigh volume and quality, and doesn`t necessarily have to be expensive. (Well, not when there are a few bargains out there to be had).

3. Black Label Ads Definitely a Bone Fish favourite, Black Label Ads is one of the greatest and certainly one of the most under-estimated PPC search engines on the net.

4. MSN AdCenterMSN AdCenter is the newest "big player on the block" with loads of leverage and arguably the best quality traffic. Look out for their amazing keyword research tool which comes as part of the package.

5. SearchFeedThe advertiser interface is simple to navigate and understand, which makes it very quick and easy to create new online campaigns. In general, SearchFeed boasts a strong ROI with a reasonable search volume. What`s more, geo-targeting is also available, allowing you to specifically focus onabout 11 countries.

6. Enhance InteractiveFormerly ah-ha.com and lately known as Marchex Adhere, Enhance isa strongly emerging Pay Per Click search engine with solid quality control. It offers fairly targeted traffic ata fairlyaffordable price.

7. ABCSearchABCSearch boasts solid targeting, decent traffic sources and great customer service support from real people. Overall, lower advertising rates for very reasonable results.

8. 7Search7Search is a smaller search engine with fairlygood quality traffic and a prettygood interface. In fact, because of its high quality traffic sources, 7Search claims to produce a better ROI than either Google or Yahoo! What`s more, there`s no minimum price on keyword bids.

9. Search123One of the more traditionalPPC search engines, Search123 is generally cost effective and offers good support and plenty of help to set up and manage accounts. A great one for beginners.

10. GoClickEnhance Interactive`s sister network, GoClick offers cheap-ish traffic and thus has a growing and very loyal following. GoClick also still allows you to start an account with only $10, and allows bids to begin at only 1 cent.
