Speedy Conversions for Speedy Dating
The hard times are continuing but the dating industry is still going strong. Well, it is for Bone Fish affiliates anyway. Conversion rates are up and member accounts are being activated by the thousands. In fact, we`ve just passed the FOUR MILLION member mark which - as far as we`re aware - knocks the socks off our main competitors.
The country that houses the most Bone Fish members is without a doubt, the UK - followed closely by the USA. Canada, India, Ireland and Australia are next in line, with Malta being the least-targeted country out there in the world.
Our home country, Gibraltar, is on the rise too - although this is thanks to two of our latest affiliates, Theresa and Carla. Pioneering event and party planner agents, these two female entrepreneurs set up their speed dating agency "One 2 One" after identifying a huge demand for a space where men and women could hook up with serious daters in a social environment that wasn`t centred around bars, pubs and clubs.

Although new to the industry, One 2 One took off at the end of last year with astounding success and as such, Theresa and Carla decided to take things one step further by teaming up with Bone Fish. After all, some daters do prefer to ease themselves into a meeting rather than jump head-first into a nerve wrecking evening. And Bone Fish, aside from its location close to home, seemed the ideal provider to work with - Theresa and Carla could have the best of both worlds by running two parallel dating services hand-in-hand on their very own door step.
And so at the very end of January, One 2 One integrated a dating site into its existing portal (http://www.one2one.gi/), and off it went. And boy has it taken off! In such a short space of time, One 2 One has seen active members convert into paying members at an incredible rate, and the dating site - backed by its speed dating sister - really is starting to gain the reputation it deserves.
With this in mind, Bone Fish Ltd would like to welcome Theresa and Carla aboard, and wishes them the very best of luck with both the speed dating events and the dating site. In many aspects, Gibraltar and its culture can be a little behind the times and so it`s great to see two determined locals open up the country`s dating arena and change its attitude towards new and innovate dating methods.
Until next week...
Did you know...
Speed dating began back in the 1990`s. Its origins are credited to Rabbi Yaacov Deyo as a way to help Jewish singles meet other Jewish singles so as to prevent them from marrying outside their faith. However, it very quickly caught on and proved a huge success in the States where it flourished amongst Jewish and other secular communities everywhere.

The fact of the matter is...
The fact of the matter is...
In a constant attempt for Bone Fish to really get to know its target market, it`s still taking the time to analyse its members, their traits and dating habits. However, whilst researching these issues, the Bone Fish team has also stumbled upon some useless - but amusing - other facts.
And these we just HAVE TO share with you. As such, hold onto your hats and keep reading...

* The most common male`s name on the Bone Fish service is JOHN, followed by PAUL and STEVE. Bone Fish has 33,127 JOHN`s looking for "this, that or the other".
* Female names on the Bone Fish service are much more varied - SARAH is the most popular name but there are only 3,214 Sarah`s signed up.
* GLASGOW is the area where Bone Fish has the most single (or married but looking) people seeking a partner - a whopping 11,876 members, followed by BRISTOL with 9,422 and LIVERPOOL with 8,526. (Los Angeles has the most "seekers" for the States). Chester, Berkshire and Lothian (in Scotland) have the least.
* The most commonly used member passwords are 1111 and 1234. Bone Fish constantly reiterates to its members the risks of passwords such as these, but unfortunately little notice is taken of our warnings.
*When it comes to worded-passwords, right up the top are "anfield", "panties", "private" and "scoobydoo". Funny how the mind works, isn`t it?
